Impact of COVID19 - Barbara Hankins

Since Easter Monday I have had the most exciting, exhilarating, transcending time of my life. On LI all day I finally found my ‘authentic voice’ that people were listening to and commenting on and even requesting to connect with me. My connections have increased by almost 80 since then and many of them are highly influential people all over the world.

I put this down to all the work I have done on myself in the past two years, in particular the personal stuff, understanding what happened, forgiveness to myself as well as to others, being kind to myself as well as my inner child who got stuck at 8 years old but who is now about 40!

A couple of months ago I was involved with three guys who were planning to work in supply chains post C19 but I decided that I wasn’t aiming high enough, so graciously declined. Within 20 minutes another opportunity popped up.

I was having daily insights about all kinds of stuff, aimed global, so now involved in Developing Conscious Capitalism, having been invited into Rotary, for which I wrote a paper that I will be presenting by zoom on the 16th July...

I’m also intensely interested in what is happening in the USA and I was also asked to partner a guy in NYC to help him achieve his dream of changing the world from domination to partnership - likewise he is helping me.

Last week I had the insight to pivot my business because of all the jobs lost and people being made redundant.

I will be using my motivation model to help them reflect on their previous company, then complete the questions again to understand what they are really looking for in their next company. This will be under the umbrella of 21st Century Wo/men (note that it includes men as well as women...)

I have had this URL (21st Century Women) since 2000 when I was presenting at an OECD Conference in Paris on Employability but closed it down in 2001 because my partner who was part-time wanted to go in a different direction and insisted that I close it down and not use the material - which I have kept to.

I have no idea where all this will lead me, all I know is that my brain is working overtime.

I am having some amazing support from people who are willing me on. I am also having new daily insights to the point where I now know that my personal and professional persona is equally matched and connected so the whole me can go forward with absolute confidence that wherever life takes me I will be able to adapt, change, go with the flow.

This is thanks to the resilience I’ve built up from all the adverse experiences in my life that I now know were actually important lessons that I needed to learn.

You may recall my saying that I will not be beaten. That enables me to turn negative things on their heads and from problems to opportunities. I am blessed.
